About Us

Fred Mann is the founder of F&B Mann Products in Waterville, Kansas. He had a very entrepreneurial mindset and enjoyed developing new ideas such as trailers and anything involved with farming that needed to be fixed or a different way to do it better. Some of the trailers he designed and built include a custom Transport Trailer for Boeing's Chinook and Osprey Helicopters.

As a farmer and rancher himself, Fred knew there was a better way to apply insecticide on a cow's neck and shoulders where face and horn flies flourish out of the reach of a cow's tail. Along with his wife Betty,  they designed, patented, and manufactured the "Fly Killer Kover", a lid that applies insecticide to cattle while they eat from a mineral feeder.  

They worked together in the shop and continued to ship orders throughout the United States until October 2018. Betty continued the tradition with their son Kerwin Mann to provide a well-known product to their customers. As of 2023, Betty has stepped aside and handed management over to family friends who have worked with the Mann family for many years.
